“Clef Notes”#5 – January 9, 2018
Happy New Year! It’s an exciting time for the White Station Orchestras, with performances, chamber music ensembles, solo studies, Concert Festival preparation, and many other exciting opportunities scheduled for the Spring semester! Here is the “clef notes” edition.
Practice Plan #5 starts on January 8, and will be due February 1.
White Station’s Optional Open House is Tuesday, January 16 at 6:00 p.m. Several of the 6th period chamber quartets will be involved in this showcase.
There will be three progressive playing tests covering Dvorak’s Romantische Stucke solo. Due dates (submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org) are January 17, 24, and February 2.
The All-West Orchestra Clinic is February 8-9 at the Cannon Center. If you have not yet done so, please complete and return the Student Contract and the $40 registration fee (checks made to White Station High School). I will also be collecting Contracts (but not money) from the alternates, too.
The Spartan String Festival is March 5, 6:30 p.m. at White Station Middle School.
The Concert Festival field trip will be on either March 7 or 8.
